CVA is a highly successful, fast-growing strategic consultancy, employing around 300 people in 16 offices world-wide. The firm currently has sixteen Partners, one of whom is based in London. The firm's founder and Managing Partner also spends a significant proportion of time based in London.
CVA differentiates itself through a number of highly effective methodologies and its strongly quantitative approach. The firm has developed its expertise and reputation across key consulting functions rather than purely by industry sector and its clients include an impressive array of multi-national companies involved in financial services, energy & utilities, transportation & logistics, automotive, telecoms, manufacturing, retailing and services. The firm's culture is focused on delivering excellence and its Partners are naturally closely involved in leading client engagements. The quality of its work has fuelled considerable repeat business and referrals to drive ongoing growth.
CVA now wishes to appoint a further London-based Partner, to take advantage of substantial untapped growth opportunities. This Partner would focus on financial services.
The Role
A new Partner will join a highly successful team of c. 20 people in London and will be responsible for driving growth in one or more functional and industry sectors. Functional areas could include: change management, productivity improvement, revenue growth.
He or she will be expected to develop new business opportunities, sell and lead major assignments and to build and develop a team of consultants in the relevant areas.
They will be expected to provide both content and "hands on" case management as well as building meaningful relationships with clients and prospective clients.
CVA places substantial emphasis on thought leadership and on the rapid development of new consulting approaches to maximise fast-changing client requirements in the new economy.
As a Partner of the firm, the successful candidate will play a full role in the management of the London office and in the development of the firm's capabilities world-wide.
Candidates
Candidates will be experienced and highly successful consultants, with a track record of working at Board level. They are most likely to have developed their skills working for a leading strategy firm or strategy boutique, rather than with the big four, and will be used to working with, and further developing, well constructed consulting methodologies.
Candidates will be active in both client development case delivery and Intellectual property development within the practice they currently work for. Alternatively they may have moved to industry in the very recent past and are now seeking to return to consulting.
Candidates will have strong intellectual skills and are likely to have gained a good first degree in a numerate subject such as mathematics or engineering, followed by an MBA. An international outlook is a prerequisite and a second European language would be an advantage.
Candidates will be highly disciplined individuals, able to flourish within a non-hierarchical, collegiate and international firm and motivated to build their own area of expertise, and team within the firm.
They will be attracted by the informal structure, CVA's "can do" attitude, earnings potential, and above all its speed of response and ability to spot and maximise new consulting opportunities.
Compensation
We are prepared to negotiate a highly attractive bonus driven compensation package, designed to attract Partner-calibre candidates from leading firms.
